BEON’s office and showroom in Essex showcases the full potential of intelligent building automation using Loxone. Lighting, climate, security, access, shading, audio, and energy management are seamlessly integrated into one intuitive platform. The space functions as both an efficient, comfortable workplace and a live demonstration environment, allowing visitors to experience real-world automation in action while giving staff effortless control through a single system.

Designing a modern office and showroom space required a system that could demonstrate the full potential of smart automation while enhancing day-to-day operation.

The challenge was to integrate lighting, climate, security, access, audio-visual, and energy management into one intelligent, easy-to-use platform that would both showcase Loxone technology and create an efficient, comfortable workspace for staff and visitors alike.

We chose Loxone for its proven reliability, simplicity, and timeless integration - a system that evolves with technology rather than becoming obsolete. At the heart of the installation is the Loxone Miniserver, intelligently linking every element of the building into a single, cohesive automation platform.

Lighting & Scene Control: Adaptive lighting scenes adjust automatically to occupancy, time of day, and presentation mode. Loxone Dimmers, RGBW Controllers, and Presence Sensors work together to create a dynamic yet efficient environment, perfect for both work and client demonstrations.

Climate & Energy Efficiency: Automated heating, cooling, and ventilation are managed through Loxone Valve Actuators and Room Controllers, responding intelligently to temperature, CO₂ levels, and occupancy. The integration with the heat pump ensures optimal energy use throughout the building.

Security & Access Control: Loxone’s NFC Code Touch, Intercom, and Presence Sensors provide seamless, secure access and building monitoring. Different access levels for staff and visitors are managed through the Loxone App, simplifying entry and enhancing safety.

Shading & Comfort: Automated blinds react to light intensity and temperature to maintain a comfortable atmosphere while reducing glare on screens and presentations.

Audio & Presentation Integration: The Loxone Audioserver delivers flexible multi-zone audio, allowing background music in open areas and focused sound in meeting rooms or presentation zones. Audio scenes are linked with lighting and presence to demonstrate true intelligent control.

Demonstration & Control Hub: The entire showroom functions as a live demonstration environment. Visitors can experience full automation - from lighting transitions to energy monitoring - all controlled via wall-mounted Touch Pure switches, tablets, or the Loxone App.
