Hillwood is a private estate in Brentwood, Essex, where BEON delivered a fully integrated smart home using Loxone as the central automation platform. Lighting, climate, security, access, shading, audio, and pool systems work seamlessly together, adapting to occupancy and conditions. The result is an intuitive, energy-efficient home with discreet technology, reliable performance, and complete control available locally or remotely via a single app.

Delivering a truly integrated smart home requires far more than just connecting devices - it demands a unified system capable of handling complex control across all building services.

For this project, BEON was tasked with designing and implementing a complete home automation solution covering lighting, heating, cooling, ventilation, blinds, security, access, audio, and pool control. The challenge lay in coordinating numerous systems and technologies, ensuring each operated harmoniously while remaining intuitive for the homeowner. Energy efficiency, reliability, and ease of use were key priorities, alongside a clean architectural finish and discreet technology integration.

Using Loxone as the central automation platform, BEON created a fully connected ecosystem where all functions communicate seamlessly.

Lighting Control: Intelligent lighting scenes were configured with Loxone Dimmers, RGBW Controllers, and Presence Sensors to automatically adjust brightness and colour temperature throughout the day, balancing comfort with energy efficiency.

Climate & Energy Management: Loxone Room Controllers and Valve Actuators regulate underfloor heating, cooling, and ventilation automatically, reacting to room occupancy, temperature, and external weather conditions. Integration with the heat pump ensures optimal energy use.

Security & Access: The Loxone Intercom, NFC Code Touch, and Presence Sensors form a comprehensive security system with intelligent access control, automatic arming, and real-time alerts via the Loxone App.

Shading & Blinds: Automated blinds respond dynamically to sunlight levels and room temperature, reducing heat gain and glare while maintaining privacy.

Audio & Multimedia: The Loxone Audioserver delivers zoned audio throughout the property, integrated with lighting and presence detection for immersive ambience control.

Pool & Outdoor Control: Full integration with Peraqua pool control (IQNNECT BASE)+ Heat pump allows automated management of filtration cycles, water temperature, and chemical dosing - all monitored within the same Loxone interface.

Monitoring & Remote Access: The homeowner has complete control and visibility through the Loxone App, whether on-site or remotely, ensuring every aspect of the home operates efficiently and intuitively.
