Anytime Fitness in Essex required a fully connected, future-proof solution to support a modern gym environment. Using Loxone, we integrated lighting, climate, access control, security, audio, and energy management into one intuitive system. Automated controls adapt to occupancy, activity, and time of day, enhancing member comfort, improving safety, and optimising energy efficiency while giving staff complete visibility and control through a single app.

Modern gyms require more than traditional fitness equipment - they demand a fully connected environment that enhances member experience, optimises energy use, and ensures safety and comfort.

The challenge was to integrate lighting, climate, access control, security, audio, and energy management across open workout areas, studios, and private rooms, all while maintaining intuitive control and future-proofing the facility.

We chose Loxone for its simplicity, reliability, and seamless integration, providing a system that adapts to the gym’s dynamic environment and won’t become obsolete over time.

Lighting Control: Automated lighting adjusts to time of day, occupancy, and workout zones, creating the ideal atmosphere for training, classes, and recovery areas. RGBW Controllers enable dynamic lighting scenes for group classes or events.

Climate & Ventilation: Loxone Room Controllers regulate heating, cooling, and ventilation to maintain optimal air quality and temperature, adapting automatically to occupancy and activity levels. Integration with the heat pump ensures efficient energy use.

Security & Access: The gym benefits from NFC or code-based access control, Presence Sensors, and Intercoms, providing secure entry for members and staff while monitoring activity throughout the building.

Audio & Multimedia: Multi-zone audio is managed via the Loxone Audioserver, allowing different music or announcements in workout areas, studios, and reception zones, automatically linked to occupancy and scenes.

Blinds & Sunlight Management: Automated blinds reduce glare and control natural light for comfort and energy efficiency in training and relaxation areas.

Monitoring & Remote Control: Staff can manage the entire gym from the Loxone App, monitor energy consumption, adjust lighting or climate, and receive alerts in real time.
